http://olive.newsok.com/archive/Skins/Oklahoman/navigator.asp?skin=Oklahoman&BP=OK Front page of the Oklahoman ,Aug.23rd Issue... to read article, click on read and then the date of the 23rd on the calendar Another desensitizing and conditioning of the public through exercises that seem run of the mill...but aren't. Propaganda and scare tactics, they are.Psychological stressors, surely.
Warrants dating back as much as 10 years will be served on residents of the Oklahoma City area.
The warrant sweep will run until Friday.
According to the article two officers and a supervisor from each of the 4 policing divisions will will have a list of names that they will actively seek to dispose of by going to residents and places of business looking for said individuals named in the warrants. Twelve officers.
62,000 people.Going to take more than the deadline of friday to net a few of these people.
A similar warrant sweep was ran back in June in of 2008 that was part of the US Marshals "Operation Falcon" that netted almost 247(273) people in a 7 day period from june 21st - june 27.
According to there website(US Marshals) :
Fugitives Arrested: 273 ,

Warrants Cleared: 319 ,

Homicide Arrests: 002 ,

Gang Members: 006 ,

Sex Offenders: 012 ,

Firearms Seized: 005,

with the assistance of Federal, State, County, and Local law enforcement officials.

"Local communities are safer today because of the hard working men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service and our partner law enforcement agencies. When one thinks of homeland security, we cannot ignore the threat that comes from violent offenders who plague our communities."

-- U.S. Marshals Service Director John F. Clark

According to Attorney General Mukasey:(the same Attorney General Michael Mukasey called on Congress 7/21/08 to authorize indefinite detention through a new declaration of armed conflict

http://www.aclu.org/safefree/general/36062prs20080721.html )

"Operation FALCON is a perfect example of how law enforcement can and should work," said Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey. "Led by the U.S. Marshals, a network of federal, state and local law enforcement officers has cleared America's streets of thousands of violent offenders, drug dealers, gang members, sexual predators, and other fugitives. These cooperative efforts make our communities safer and their successes promote future collaboration among law enforcement agencies at every level of government."

Now look at the numers from their website... It doesn't add up.

2 homicide arrests?
6 gang members?
12 sex offenders?
firearms seized: 5

Don't we all feel safer!
According to U.S. Marshals Service Director John F. Clark quote.."When one thinks of homeland security, we cannot ignore the threat that comes from violent offenders who plague our communities." Well if these violent offenders are such a hinderance on the peace and order needed for the well being of our Nation and People why do the arrest numbers don't reflect these statements?
2 arrests for homicide?
5 Gang members?
5 weapons?
from Oklahoma City!
12 sex offenders?
From a list of either 247 or 273,depending on which page of the US Marshals site your looking at or the media source.
19 "significant people " arrested, according to the numbers and the goal stated on the US Marshals website.
Inconsistent ,manipulated and deceiving.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.
